Dave’s first on stage band was at age 13. Performing music from the Doors, Led Zeppelin, Guess Who, Steppenwolf, Cream and others at teen centers, country clubs and festivals. In the later years, Dave belonged to various, popular cover bands in large venue nightclubs warming up for many big name National acts such as Heart, Aerosmith & KISS. One of his rock cover bands formed with 3 members, each with the name DAVE, so the band changed their name to Where’s Dave. It was then, the nick name Drummer DAVE started. With a move to Florida, Drummer DAVE filled in on drums for over 30 Gulf Coast rock cover bands in the greater Tampa Bay Area and all the way down to Naples. Most of his Florida performances were at finer live music venues and large seafood festivals. While being a member in two popular Sarasota dance rock bands, they both received Top Reader Choice “Best Band” Awards.
